HOW YOUR STRATEGY IS TESTED

Clear rules before results.

A custom forex backtesting service for international traders. You explain the concept; I formalise the rules in TradingView and test the version you approve.

01 / Define, then approve

We clarify your entry conditions, indicators, stop-loss, take-profit and risk-to-reward. You approve the objective rules and assumptions before testing begins. A rule change after reviewing results becomes a new test version, not a rewrite of the original evidence.

02 / Confirm the historical scope

The service supports forex strategies on M15 and higher timeframes, with at least two years of historical testing. Longer periods can be requested; coverage is confirmed for the instrument, timeframe and data source. The approved TradingView setup is then processed through my backtesting system.

The scope and turnaround are agreed after assessing the strategy. Processing speed is not a guaranteed one-hour project delivery.

03 / Record the assumptions

Each test records its data source, dates, timezone, initial capital, position sizing, spread, commission, slippage and execution settings where available. Unknown assumptions are disclosed rather than guessed. Intrabar execution, ambiguous SL/TP order, repainting and look-ahead risks must be considered where relevant.

04 / Read performance and risk together

The reporting scope includes monthly and annual P/L charts, drawdown analysis with dates and months, and supporting statistics. Each published metric requires adequate data and an explicit definition.

Net P/L
Net results in the stated unit, with the source's cost coverage disclosed.
Maximum drawdown
A peak-to-trough decline. Equity versus balance basis and data resolution must be distinguished.
Daily drawdown
The within-day decline under a specified reference, timezone, reset rule, balance/equity basis and resolution. Daily loss is not the same metric. Minimum and maximum values and their dates are reported only when supported by the data.
Profit factor
Gross profit divided by absolute gross loss. With no gross loss, the ratio is not presented as an ordinary finite number.
Win rate
The proportion of winning closed trades, with the treatment of breakeven trades explained.
Monthly and annual performance
Cash P/L and percentage returns are different measures. Per-trade percentage returns are not simply added to produce monthly or annual returns.

05 / Explain what the results cannot prove

Closed trades alone do not reconstruct intratrade equity drawdown. Historical results depend on data quality, fill assumptions, costs and parameter selection. In-sample performance is not proof of out-of-sample robustness. The report helps you decide what to refine or investigate further; it does not certify future profitability.

06 / Protect confidential work

Only material approved for publication appears here. My internal backtesting system and confidential client strategy code remain private. Unavailable values appear as —, not zero. Historically backtested does not mean independently verified.
